VISITOR & ACQUISITION NOTES
Museum rules.
Overdraw presents one living artwork at a time. There are no private studies, no curator's undo, and no committee. A successful takeover replaces the work on view until the next collector acquires the wall.
Acquiring the wall
- Each takeover begins at least $1 above the last completed acquisition. You may offer more at your discretion.
- The minimum acquisition value decays by 5% after each full day, never below $1.
- Only one collector may hold the acquisition desk at a time. While payment or production is in progress, the exhibition remains reserved.
- A newly installed artwork is protected for five minutes. When its reign ends, the wall reopens automatically.
- Completed works enter the Collection. The longest reigns rise in the catalogue.
Submitting an artwork
- Provide a prompt, a display name, an optional artwork title, and an optional public link.
- All prompts pass moderation before an acquisition can proceed. If the submission is declined, the artwork on view remains unchanged.
- The image model interprets a prompt rather than reproducing an exact proposal. Results can be literal, strange, or unexpectedly fond of potatoes.
- Once installed, submitted names, links, prompts, titles, and generated artwork become part of the public catalogue.
After acquisition
- A completed Stripe payment begins production. The payment page updates automatically when the new work is installed.
- Your acquisition takes effect only after the generated artwork is successfully published.
- If the production provider explicitly reports failure before installation, the payment is refunded automatically.
- Refreshing does not create another production request: one payment, one attempt, one installation.
- Once installed, your artwork remains on view until another completed takeover replaces it.
